Last week, The International Center (Indianapolis) had the honor of hosting five visitors from India for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) focused on Combating Human Trafficking with Technology. On Thursday, the delegation began their day at the Indianapolis International Airport, where they met with representatives from the Indianapolis Airport Authority, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. They provided?valuable insights into effective practices implemented at the airports, ensuring maximum safety and behavioral awareness in the fight against human trafficking. In the afternoon, the delegation visited Purdue University for a meeting with the Purdue Cyber Forensics Lab, hosted by Professors Kathryn Seigfried-Spellar and Chad Laux PhD. The lab specializes in applied and basic research and provides education, training, and investigative support to law-enforcement agencies in the United States and abroad.? After enjoying cultural activities and home hospitality dinner over the weekend, the delegation met with Captain Peter Glogoza of the Indiana State Police to learn about their strategies for combating human trafficking. These sessions provided valuable insights into the collaborative efforts of various agencies working to enhance public safety and security.
