i spent 30 years full time in the road tanker industry and watched very carefully what could be successfully argued to be 4 contributing factors causing tanker rollovers >bad tire placement tread depth wise changing ride hight for individual axels >up at the front air suspension module on prime movers and tankers which tends to have the lead axel bags working at increased volume resulting more ridged ride causing exaggerated yaw characteristics and serious on road stability issues and in some cases loss of driver road feel > we found also its important to have tanker suspension more ridged than the prime mover and a b double its important to have the B trailer slightly more ridged than the A trailer >the spilt milk project focusing on milk slosh in my opinion misleading to the road transport industry. What is going on now trying to fix the serious issue we are seeing ESC "electronic stability control" which is a good system if the combination is set up as eluded to above. If the combination is set up with the issues talked about above there is ample Evi dent's proving that we need a close look at road transport safety regarding incorrect suspension specifications.
