Vokalo is building a new sports wearable that captures and analyses the communication of athletes in action to improve individual and team performance. We had a great chat with the co-founder Jens Knudsen about some of the unique challenges that come with being a hardware startup. One of the big ones? Funding! Hardware startups often encounter the catch-22 of needing capital to build their product, but finding that investors usually want to see traction before they invest. The solution according to Jens is all about finding the right investors - those who really get the hardware game and ideally have deep industry knowledge in the field you’re working in.
