First aid education can be driven through campaigns of many different organizations. The first link in the Chain of Survival Behaviors is Planning & Preparing which leads to prevention & mitigation-- the Last Mile project below is a great example of a whole community approach that is developmentally appropriate and inclusive. What a combination of Scouting and Emergency Management in Massachusetts to devise an Integrated Preparedness Plan to serve the 76 communities of the Spirit of Adventure Council with FEMA evidence-based resources and scouting volunteers.
