After over 60 years of service, it was determined that the Delaware Memorial Bridge needed a major deck rehabilitation. A Green Building and Design Magazine article explained the work required installing a high-performing deck without adding more weight to the structure. Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) was installed on this project, which was diamond ground and grooved to ensure a smooth riding surface.
