Better outcomes -- better value -- for patients is at the heart of what we do by improving healthcare specialist referral systems. Value-based care focuses on quality of care, provider performance, and the patient experience. It involves doctors and other healthcare professionals working together to manage a person's overall health and considering their personal health goals. This approach can help people avoid the emergency department and hospital. The CMS Innovation Center runs pilot programs to determine effective approaches to value-based care, such as promoting communication and coordination among healthcare providers and addressing both medical and non-medical needs. Trust is not just a nice-to-have; it’s a fundamental aspect of effective healthcare. When patients feel confident in their providers, they are more likely to share vital information, adhere to treatment plans, and engage actively in their own health journeys. Here are a few key reasons why building patient trust is essential: Enhanced Communication: Trust fosters open dialogue. Patients who trust their providers are more likely to voice concerns, ask questions, and discuss symptoms candidly. Better Health Outcomes: Studies consistently show that trust correlates with improved adherence to treatment plans, leading to better overall health outcomes. Patient Empowerment: When patients feel valued and respected, they become active participants in their care, leading to more personalized and effective treatment strategies. Reduced Anxiety: Trust can alleviate the anxiety that often accompanies medical visits, allowing patients to focus on their health and well-being. Stronger Provider-Patient Relationships: Trust strengthens the bond between patients and healthcare professionals, creating a supportive environment conducive to healing. As healthcare providers, we must prioritize building and maintaining this trust. This involves active listening, empathy, transparency, and consistent follow-up. #Healthcare #PatientTrust #QualityCare #PatientEngagement #HealthcareProfessionals #EmpathyInHealthcare

In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, strong public-private partnerships are crucial to advancing data and analytics across health and care. Together, we can unlock insights to drive proactive, personalised care, optimise resource allocation, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes on a national scale. We have so many great initiatives in place e.g. #FederatedDataPlatform #FrontlineDigitisation and cross-pollination of ideas can only help to breakdown perceived biases and barriers. As AnalystX we are honoured and grateful to Public Policy Projects Lee Davies and Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM for initiating these data and analytic sessions. Building this future requires more than just access to data—it demands a robust competency framework. Skilled, agile teams are essential to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability, especially as we grapple with the complexities of federated systems. Shoutout to National Competency Framework Andy Lavelle Sarah Blundell for all the great work they are doing to provide the connective tissues for our data and analytics workforce to thrive. At the intersection of healthcare and technology, we have an unprecedented opportunity to reshape the way data is harnessed for public good. The road ahead requires a blend of shared vision, distributed technical capability, integrated plurality and empowering cross-org teams to push boundaries while maintaining trust. ?? Ming Tang Ayub Bhayat for your unwavering support of AnalystX The journey to federation at scale may be challenging, but the rewards—better health, efficiency, and patient-centred care—are within reach. In the wake of Dr Penny Dash’s report highlighting significant failings at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of healthcare and adult social care in England, the Government have announced an independent review of patient safety across the health and care landscape. The review will investigate how patient safety organisations work together and will feed into the government’s 10-year plan for the NHS, which is due to be published in the spring next year. We're hosting the first of three online roundtables (which occur under Chatham House rule), on Thursday this week, to discuss patient safety through the lens of technology and digital innovation. Join the roundtable ‘Uniting system partners and integrating approaches to patient safety’ by registering your interest here?? https://lnkd.in/dHZvUUCe
