Having spent nearly twenty years working in and with Strategic Cross-Functional Key Account Management programs, observations tell me that what typically trips teams up include: - a focus primarily on the tools, rather than the people - focus on internally important KPI’s, missing the opportunity for external stakeholder alignment - &, responsibility for inputs and outputs being placed on one individual, who often lacks the decision-making authority to get stuff done These elephants in the room were identified with this group, a fantastic first step. #KAM #pharma #customerengagement

Innovation and fresh perspectives: Bypassing traditional hierarchy can bring new ideas and approaches. 2. Efficient problem-solving: Collaborating across levels can lead to faster solutions. 3. Talent development: Giving junior team members opportunities to work with senior leaders can aid growth. 4. Building relationships: Cross-hierarchy connections can foster a sense of community and teamwork. 5. Adaptability: Flatter structures can respond quickly to changing environments. Bad Points 1. Bypassing expertise: Skipping levels can overlook valuable knowledge and experience. 2.Confusion and role ambiguity: Unclear expectations and responsibilities can arise. 3.Lack of accountability: Ignoring established hierarchy can lead to unclear lines of responsibility. 4.Resentment and demotivation: Bypassing senior team members can demotivate and create resentment. 5.Disruption of established processes: Ignoring established protocols can lead to chaos and inefficiencies.
