The calm before the GTMfund dinner storm. Stillness. But not for long ?? The dinner in San Francisco tonight alongside our partner Demandbase is one of our largest with 50 of our GTM executive operators, founders and partners coming together for some good eats and conversations. We usually hold a strong cap at 35 attendees but really wanted to be able to include a handful on the waitlist so thankfully the restaurant worked with my last minute email request to expand space. On dinner RSVP forms we always ask the question: "What's something you're looking to get out of the dinner?" The resounding answer is always some variation of people and connections. "Hang w great people" "Networking with other GTMfund folks" "Connections" "Great connections!" "Networking with GTM leaders and LPs" "Catch up!" "See my peeps!" "Connections, network and learn" There are also some more specifics around conversations: "Discuss how to overcome sales productivity challenges" "Market pulse" "Exploring new ideas and opinions" The key is that when you have the right people in the room, both happen. No overly structured programming needed - the experience in the room facilitates connections and insightful industry conversations. With the right people in the room, it's impossible to not level up. Always starts with people. Always ends with people. Now let the storm begin storming ?
