Did you know that the UN Conference of the Parties 28 (COP28) took place last week? International leaders met in Dubai, UAE, to discuss the developing crisis of anthropogenic climate change, which disproportionately threatens the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations across the globe. What did you miss? Honestly, not too much. Often, COP conferences leave the public feeling underwhelmed due to the limited promises made to coordinate global climate action for a sustainable future. However, we do not feel disheartened. It makes our work here at EcoCiv that much more dire to pursue, and we are ready and eager to rise to the challenge. Moving forward, we aim to see a world in which global leaders can come to a collective agreement on climate change and the ways in which we can improve the wellbeing of people and the planet.
