It is all sunshine and rainbows when the plan goes well. What about the deal you lost at the finish line? What about the missed deadline for the project? What do you do when your team has put in everything and still comes up short? That is when real LEADERS show up WITH and FOR their team. - When they made a bad call - When the enemy got a vote and they missed the goal - When there is a lesson to be learned What you learn about yourself and others when **it hits the fan. That - is a "Beautiful Thing" #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #personaldevelopment #betheleader #ExtemeOwnership https://lnkd.in/exDXSj3j

I've been a long-time fan of Edward Marx and his perspective on #leadership, digital transformation, and #healthcare. Honestly it goes beyond that—Ed has a great perspective on *life,* period. So it was a great pleasure to be interviewed by Ed as part of his podcast series, EDTalks. Take a listen! #digitalhealth

I started following Lygeia Ricciardi online and loved her content. When I dived deeper into her personal story, it became clear why and how her passion took hold. A great leader and human trying to make our world better.

Did you know there are more men named Dick on U.S. public corporate boards than there are people from entire underrepresented groups?(including Richard, Rich, and Rick). E.L.F. BEAUTY is setting out to change that and make boardrooms more inclusive. According to McKinsey (Dec 2023), boards with more diversity are: ↗ 27% more likely to outperform those that aren’t. ↗ 13% more likely to excel than those without. Moves like this can actually help shift things. And bring new perspectives to the table. Resulting in leadership that looks a lot more like the world we live in. P.S. What other companies are making a difference in boardroom diversity? ? Share these shocking Dick stats with your friends!

Radhika Zaveri, SMU Cox professor of practice, had an enlightening conversation with with Warren Tranquada, CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center (PAC) about the intersection of the arts and community impact, as the institution celebrated its 15th anniversary. Here are 3 key takeaways from their conversation: Storytelling is a Powerful Communication Tool: Tranquada shared how the performing arts help us make sense of the world by fostering empathy and creativity. These skills are essential in today’s fast-evolving business landscape. More Engagement = More Growth: With a focus on outreach, Tranquada’s belief is that the more people you can engage, the more successful your mission becomes. PAC’s efforts have brought in 40,000 new members and expanded its reach through targeted strategies. You Can Do More with Less: Operating with limited resources, PAC focuses on maximizing impact by strategically collaborating and programming to serve a diverse audience every day of the week. I've been on a kick lately, thinking about the most influential commercials I’ve seen—compact stories intricately woven together that touch the heartstrings and take you along for the ride. Today, I’m reminded of the DICK'S Sporting Goods basketball commercial called "The Hoop." Backed by the thoughtful lyrics of Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, this story takes you on a journey... And it hits home - who knows, maybe it's the dad in me. In a world obsessed with the latest technology, trends, or metrics, it’s refreshing to see a brand take a step back and remind us about what matters. They don't talk about the F&B's or the technical details of the hoop—In 60 seconds, the tell a story about the bond between a father and daughter, and the moments they share. The hoop is merely a vehicle to make the connection. It’s another classic example of storytelling at its best. At its core, it’s a lesson in leadership: brands should aim to connect emotionally and authentically with their audience. It's not about selling products; it's about inviting people into stories. Take a minute to watch - Definitely worth your time - https://lnkd.in/gUHzjyFU #Marketing #Leadership #Branding

Changing the manager may not necessarily help traditional giants turn the tables, as they face challenges such as brand aging and industry decline under new leadership.
