5 key takeaways from this goal kicking chat with the Wallabies legend Matt Giteau and what he learnt from Jonny Wilkinson? 1. Consistent Process: Having a consistent process in goal kicking is crucial for success. It helps in building confidence and maintaining focus during high-pressure situations. 2. Individual Style: Embracing your individual style in goal kicking is important. While learning from others is valuable, forcing a drastic change in technique may not always work well. It's essential to feel comfortable and confident in your approach. 3. Visual Cues and Mental Preparation: Utilizing visual cues and mental imagery can enhance performance in goal kicking. Visualizing a successful kick and having a clear mental picture of a good strike can help in replicating it during the actual kick. 4. Pressure Simulation: Simulating pressure situations during practice sessions, like kicking in front of teammates with consequences for misses, can help in getting accustomed to nerves and building confidence for game-day scenarios. 5. Repetition and Hard Work: Success in goal kicking, as demonstrated by top kickers like Johnny Wilkinson and others, comes from relentless repetition and hard work. Talent is important, but consistent practice and dedication play a significant role in achieving excellence. Full Podcast: https://bit.ly/4cEi5MX

Hello there! I’ve been doing these regular updates since August’22 and the thing with doing things regularly is that you constantly need to adapt to the “new normal”. Whenever I fall off the wagon on consistency, chances are it is because I am trying to work from an older model that no longer works. So now, I want to reupdate my relationship with these updates. (no pun intended). Initially these were for me to actually have the “what have I done even” question answered each month, and honestly about a 6 months into doing it, that was no longer a question. I still managed to sustain it for a few more months. But now, what I am curious about is actually seeing how am I growing within the projects I am working on. As we close the Fourth (??!!!) season of our podcast “Thinking on Thinking” this is the perfect time to reflect on my journey of making it and try this new format of updates. The first time I made and released a podcast was I think back in 2015/16 but I cant really find the link to it. The second attempt was in 2019, with a more narrative style podcast “flatline” with Amrita Sukrity and Charu Tak (Yes I do too many things with my sister). Both of these times, we never crossed the 7 episode mark. I do want to revive Flatline at some point but with the million things I wanna do, it will just have to wait its turn. But it is with this background, of loving podcasts and wanting to make one for many years that I brought up the idea to Kahran Singh. So when Kahran and I decided to make a podcast in 2022, our core idea was that we were having a lot of interesting conversations and having them somewhere where we could look back and see how our thinking has evolved. From my past experience, I knew the biggest challenge actually will be to continue on it, and make episodes after episodes. When working on anything, there are two components. The technical/skill/science part of things and the emotional/creative/vision side of things; usually in my experience, it takes a few tries to get good on both sides. For us, in context of the podcast, we had several seasons to learn lessons and they really helped us take this podcast to the point where it is today that we love it. So here are the four main things we learnt as we went through the seasons. Read the rest here : https://lnkd.in/g6fQsZz3

A new https://www.agile.fm podcast episode hit the wire today! Often easier said than done, but "live each day to its fullest" often stays just a saying without deeper reflection. For Maureen McCarthy and Zelle Nelson on the other hand, it has a deep essential meaning because Maureen has lived for decades with a rare genetic lung disease, that leaves her with only 10% lung capacity. So they designed a relationship process called the "Blueprint of We" around their unique situation and relationship. They soon realized that this could be impactful for possibly anybody, including agile teams. Zelle: "There's at least three entities. There's you, there's me, and there's this third entity of we, and we need to give energy and understanding to how these all will work together." Maureen: "It's more recent research in social neural neuroscience that says when we're focused on a problem, our brain literally becomes tunnel vision." For example, you will hear in this episode that at least one of the two asks the other one, if they would still marry each other. That brings "closing a feedback loop" to a new level.?But there is so much more to explore in this episode, I hope you will enjoy this one. (Subscribe to Agile.FM ???? https://lnkd.in/eupV6jWv) ??? Interesting intro about consistency issues in an ever evolving AI features and refinements.
AI SERIES I NIGHT WATCH - EPISODE 3 RELEASED!??? ????SOUND ON! ???? I shared with you at the end of last year the first two episodes of Night Watch, the short series entirely crafted using generative AI tools.? And today, here's Episode 3! ?? And it's by far the toughest one I've had to tackle, for several reasons. ???? Storytelling needs time This episode is the longest of the three (about 3 minutes 30 seconds), for a good reason. After teasing quite a bit in the first two episodes, it was time to bring some substance, some storytelling, and consequently, the scenes to create multiplied. A rather titanic task, not to mention that carried away by the creation, I indulged myself in the intro scene... Or how to add more work to yourself... ??♂? ?? Generative AIs are progressing way too fast!? Here, I encountered a real problem that I hadn't anticipated: a series is a long-term commitment, but Runway, Midjourney, or Pika don't wait for me to evolve. They're constantly evolving. So, the puzzle of maintaining graphic consistency from one episode to another emerged, while "owing" it to myself to utilize the latest features due to the possibilities they offer (Midjourney V6 released smack in the middle of my project, and Runway not stopping...). So, finding the balance isn't easy: releasing videos as quickly as possible to maintain graphic consistency, at the expense of substance, or taking a little more time, and never mind if not all the latest features are included... To fully exploit these latest features, I decided to start from scratch, or nearly, the work that had been (largely) initiated. ?? So, let's not complain about it, huh, these are "rich people" problems within the creative-tech sphere, but, note to self: "Never again a series, dude!" ??? Better plan a project of this scale upfront, in any case. Anyway, all of this remains an immense pleasure to create, and all of it will come to fruition. Episode 4 created in parallel with this one is already ready. Release next week! ?? Hope you like it! ?? *For those who want to watch (or rewatch) episodes 1 and 2, you'll find the links to the videos in the comments! CREDITS ?Alexandre Tissier Music : Coolio feat.
