Amplifying the strengths versus weaknesses In corporate we normally classify a lot of things in colour. For example if an action item is pending it’s likely to be marked in yellow. If it’s over due in red. And if it’s completed it is marked in green. This makes it easier to see where we are doing well and where we need improvement. Some one said in a meeting recently that the greens we don’t need action plans for. I disagree . These are the areas that need to be amplified more than the reds- we need to keep reinforcing what we are doing well. There is enough noise out there - let’s embrace peaceful music. Amplifying where we are doing well goes a long way to creating a more conducive culture.

I saw this in Linked in and I liked it. It's not about celebrating festivals and taking pictures, its about how happy an individual is and does he get time for himself to live his life? ?? In My Opinion: Good Company Culture: 1. Encourages open communication and transparency. 2. Ensures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect. 3. Supports work-life balance and employee well-being. 4. Recognizes and rewards employees' achievements and growth. 5. Embraces diversity, inclusivity, and continuous learning. Bad Company Culture: 1. Prioritizes profits over employee well-being and safety. 2. Promotes competition over collaboration and teamwork. 3. Encourages long hours, burnout, and stress. 4. Disregards diversity, equity, and inclusion. 5. Suppresses feedback, criticism, and constructive change.

I’ve been thinking about the importance of the journey, rather than the destination, but is it not the people with us on our journey who make it all worthwhile. We had an important meeting on Friday, I was with colleagues, a team. It was part of the journey that would hopefully lead to the desired outcome. It was the people I was with that made it a unique experience. Trust in each other. Diversity. Knowledge pooled together, creating a dynamic team. People that support, challenge and inspire. Constructive feedback. Those people we meet on the journey that leave a lasting impression. Shaping of our experiences and memories. Assisting us to become the best versions of ourselves. The sense of community and shared purpose. Making it memorable and worthwhile. Celebrate the journey, always respectfully, with those who care. They are the ones who make the journey extraordinary. And the results meaningful and significant. And on our continent we should always assist in creating meaningful journeys for others.

ENGAGING THE STAGE with PURPOSE! ? Once again, the 2024 National Speakers Association Influence conference was epic and relationships built are what it's all about. A handful of us were selected to dance on stage with Hall of Fame Speaker (CPAE), Lenora Billings-Harris, CSP, CPAE (she, her), after a beautiful keynote she shared on the big stage at the conference. She's also part of our NSA North Carolina Chapter. ? Each speaker who danced on stage are superstars whether they were seasoned global speakers or just starting out. We came together as one with a message of unity and global inclusion. ? It's memories like these that last a lifetime. I firmly believe in living a life of experiences and lasting relationships. At the end of the day I'm likely not going to remember how hard I worked, but the beautiful people who have affected my life and hopefully I have affected theirs. ?
