One of my favorite dream scenarios in the psychedelic medicine world is when we have enough data (and legal access) to begin doing precision personalized psychedelic treatments - like factoring how one's DNA and gut microbiome may affect their outcomes and selecting a therapy based on that information. That's why this episode was so exciting - Giorgia Caspani, PhD covered several types of interactions between the gut and psychedelics, and postulated areas for further research. We also chatted about personalized psychedelic medicine and how knowing one's gut microbiome makeup could play a role in improving outcomes and potentially decreasing side effects. I also have to say - Giorgia told me this was her podcast debut and WOOOOOOW, she's incredible. I'd give my right arm to be this good now, much less my first episode! Highly recommend my other pod hosts consider having her on:) Link to listen is in the comments! #psychedelics #gutmicrobiome #guthealth #psychedelicresearch #psychedelictherapy #psychedelicscience Link to listen is in the cmments.
