Entering into one of my most exciting Fridays in a while: 9:00-9:15: Check in with Manufacturing Prospect on status of renewal 11:00-12:30: Claims Review with Distribution Client 1:00-1:30: Renewal Proposals with new Importer Client 2:00-2:30: Auto Physical Damage Proposal with Mobile Delivery Client 3:00-3:30: Restaurant Client Renewal Proposal Meeting Five different meetings with five different industries, all with complex and diverse needs. Some meetings done remotely, some done in person. And on the whole, all the news is positive. There are stereotypes around insurance brokers and their meticulous Friday schedules (see: golf). But the market is hardening, policies are being non-renewed, and there's plenty of risk to be managed. Let's get to work.

Ever had a weird idea that had your colleagues (and clients) raising their eyebrows? And you still did it anyway… That was me, one Customer Service Week, when I decided to put hopscotch at the office entrance. I was then working at VIVA 365 Insurance Brokers and I was in charge of organizing CS Week, and I came up with the idea of putting hopscotch at the entrance. Yep, hopscotch. Will people play? Will they think it's fun or just plain tacky? Is it appropriate for corporate? So many questions, but I was all in and my bosses let me roll with it, thank you Emmaculate Cheptoo and Andrew Kimani—and you know what? It turned out to be a hit! ?? Hopscotch brought everyone back to their childhood—clients and staff couldn’t resist playing. It sparked laughter, memories and some of the best conversations of the week. This year’s CS Week theme, ‘Above & Beyond,’ reminds me of those moments where we step out of the norm and create memorable experiences. Here are three ways we can all go above and beyond for our customers—not just this week, but every day: ? #1: Personalize the Experience—small details make big impressions. ? #2: Listen Actively—real empathy goes a long way. ? #3: Create Moments of Joy—sometimes, a little hopscotch is all it takes! ??
