Look, if a company is actually hiring, don't you think they will provide you a registration link or an email to drop down your Resume? ?? I'm just posting this to inform my connections, as I've seen many people commenting down #interested or dropping below their emails ??Beware of these scams, these are just attention grabbing techniques to increase their post's reach. They might also use your data for various unwanted purposes... Just check the post below it's the best thing I came across today ???? read the caption and check the comments. Hi Bulls!! Today's BRASA Highlight is Isadora Oliveira Grasel, a junior majoring in Computer Science. This summer, Isadora worked as an Information Systems and Technology Intern at Apple in Austin, Texas! ???? For Isadora, Apple has a huge commitment to always innovate with responsibility, valuing customer satisfaction and privacy. During her time there, it's was clear to her that her opinion and perspective were always welcomed and heard, even as "just"an intern. They provide so many resources, events, and opportunities for professional, personal, and technical growth. She was able to meet amazing professional there that have inspired and supported her in so many ways! Isadora had never applied online for any position at Apple before. She had the opportunity to talk to one of the managers of the intern program at the Apple booth when she attended SHPE last year. Isa had her first interview with him in person later that day, and a few weeks later she had the final interview with the hiring manager. She got her official offer in early January and joined the company in May. ?? From this internship experience, Isadora also learned an important thing: ? We should always be passionate about the problem, and not a solution. We shouldn't try to fit a problem into a solution we like, but find the best solution for the problem in hand. It's also essential to have in mind that simply having a solution to a problem isn't enough, we have to show that the solution is easier than dealing with the issue itself. ?? Isadora's Highlight Tip: “Research the company: know about their culture and values, products, new releases, etc. Practice your elevator pitch and how to talk with recruiters: know how to sell yourself! Have a storyline and purpose for the projects you worked on, clubs and organizations you were involved, your personal, academic, and professional interests and goals. Happy Friday! ?? We truly have the most fascinating people at LCP Media. One of my favorite things to learn about someone is WHY they do what they do - Nick's story is nothing short of inspiring. His journey to loving software engineering started as a kid, inspired by his father and grandfather, who had computers in their office. He loved exploring the internet, playing video games, and got interested in learning code. By middle school, he was already building websites! Nick also speaks multiple languages and started learning Polish during his internship with us. Did you know that about half of LCP Media is in Poland? (I still geek out when I have international calls; I am just a small-town girl from Texas—like, how AWESOME!) But my FAVORITE part of Nick's story is he chose to come back to us full-time after graduating from the University of Chicago, which goes to show how great our team is at LCP Media. We are lucky to have him! ?? Reflecting on Nick's journey made me think about my path to LCP Media as the Marketing Director - As a young girl, I loved making things *look pretty* —if I colored outside the lines in a coloring book, I would literally throw it in the trash! Visually, I’m a bit of a perfectionist. My band-aids had to match my outfits (lol). I loved storytelling and decorating. In middle school, I would spend HOURS redesigning my MySpace profile. I still remember the exact day I got a Facebook account in 9th grade; I loved creating photo albums and sharing my life. I was the girl in my sorority with a GoPro documenting everything! Social media, photography, and videography have ALWAYS been my passions - It's no wonder I do what I do! ?? How lucky are we to have the opportunity to do what we love?
