This alternative to the long-established streptavidin/biotin capture system with the unique advantage of multiplexing capacity. We have successfully demonstrated - through a grant from the BMGF (see Multiway https://lnkd.in/dUgKN_UX ) - that COLPLEX can outperform current limitations of multiplexing lateral flow assay, notably in sensitivity. The COLPLEX technology represents a widely applicable and cost-effective advance in immunoassay technology for new diagnostic applications associated with medical needs requiring high-performance multiplex rapid tests ? ??A blood based-transcriptomic signature capable of differentiating active tuberculosis patients from healthy and asymptomatic latently infected individuals and allowing to monitor tuberculosis treatment and predict therapy outcome. "Congresses are too expensive; we'll wait until we're more mature to attend." Congresses ARE expensive. However, there's no better way to get caught up on the latest science, and most importantly, meet and start building relationships with your key KOLs. As you are building your company or drug/device area, knowing the key healthcare professionals is your personal capital, and that can't always be established virtually. Reaching out early in a virtual manner usually doesn't get you very far because no one knows who you are. That goes double if you are super early phase where your data has yet to be revealed, or if the number of KOLs is small. Find out where you need to be, even if it's a few key congresses, in order to make connections and invest the cash to get out there.
