Tulsa Remote’s influence extends beyond economic figures as seen through the flourishing ecosystem for entrepreneurship and civic engagement. More than 18% of program alumni have embarked on entrepreneurial ventures. Equally noteworthy is Remoters’ strong commitment to the community, with over 11% of program alumni taking leadership roles on local nonprofit boards and an additional 4% founding nonprofit organizations. One common reason Remoters cite for getting involved is having more time to do so. Eight years ago, The Celtic Community Network embarked on a mission to unite businesses. Today, we proudly reflect on having connected over 200 companies. Our journey has been a not-for-profit one, with every penny of the fees reinvested into our events, covering essentials like breakfast and coffee, and the costs of promotion and organisation, all managed through voluntary efforts. In our local area, few networking groups have offered such a consistent and profit-free platform for as long as we have. We've witnessed the resilience and growth of businesses, the blossoming of startups, and the formation of numerous fruitful business relationships. Our appeal to the business community is simple yet vital: engage and spread the word. The Celtic Community Network thrives on your participation. Without it, both new and established businesses miss out on a unique, supportive group dedicated solely to their success. While we recognise and support paid networking groups, it's essential to remember the rarity of not-for-profit alternatives like ours. So, we encourage local businesses to lend support when possible. When we launched the Tanna Fund a year ago, I knew we'd make an impact. We would raise money, make grants, and build community.
