This Veterans Day, we honor the dedication of our country's veterans and active service members. Among them, women have a long legacy of service. Women have steadily increased their presence in the military, initially providing critical medical assistance on the front lines in previous conflicts, and now serving in a wide variety of ways in multiple specialties and leadership positions across each branch. Women’s contributions have increased the strength of our armed forces. Thank you, veterans, for your commitment, courage, and unwavering service. #Inforum #SeeWhatsPossible #GetThereFaster #VeteransDay #WomenVeterans #ThankYou #Veterans #WomenServiceMembers

Understanding D-Day and Honoring Our Armed Forces: Ever wondered what the “D” in D-Day stands for? It’s a common question, and the answer is simpler than you might think: “D” stands for “Day.” It was a military code for the day an important operation began. For many of us, June 6, 1944, or D-Day, symbolizes a monumental moment when Allied forces, including a significant number of British troops, stormed the beaches of Normandy. This wasn’t just any day—it was a turning point in World War II, a day that changed the course of history and secured the freedoms we enjoy today. Remembering D-Day is about more than just reflecting on the past. It’s about honoring the courage and sacrifice of those who laid down their lives for the greater good. These were ordinary men and women who performed extraordinary feats under unimaginable conditions. They faced relentless challenges, but their determination and bravery paved the way for victory against tyranny. As we look back, it’s essential to not only remember those who served during that critical time but also to appreciate the members of our armed forces who continue to protect our nation today. Their commitment and dedication ensure that the legacy of courage and service lives on. These individuals are out there every day, making sure that our country remains safe and that our values are upheld. Let’s take a moment to honor both the heroes of the past and those who continue to serve. Our gratitude for their service and sacrifices cannot be overstated. They stand as a testament to the resilience and strength that define our armed forces. Here’s to the past, present, and future defenders of our freedom. Your efforts and sacrifices are truly appreciated.?? #DDay #Remembrance #ArmedForces #Respect #Service #Gratitude #Veterans #Military #BritishForces

When you realize that you can't stay in the military forever . . . Then transition to a Veteran's life is your next mission. How long does that take? This is not a PCS move or something you've done before. Plan on 2-3 years of part time study and thinking if you want to succeed. Would you go into combat without a plan or knowing the terrain and enemy capabilities? Of course you wouldn't. You want to succeed. Did you become a military expert after attending basic training or the basic officer course? Of course you didn't. You put years and much study into it. Military transition is not different. This book by Algrish Williams, Sr., MPA is a good starting point to understand the terrain that is called military transition. #soldierforlife

The confluence of relationships. This is what happens when people come together - they listen, talk, and relate over commonalities and experiences. Relationships are built. The military does this better than most. Throughout my career, I have watched many groups be in the same room, but rarely do I see engagement occur so fast than in the military and veteran community. I saw it again this past weekend. Veterans were sitting around talking and the Army showed up. Within minutes, they were engaged with the veterans. They know and understand that each person matters. The convergence of active service and veteran service merged into relating to each other. Relationships are the bridge between generations and differences. People are stronger together. Today on Veterans Day, follow the example of our veterans and active service members - Relate to each other! #VeteransDay #relationships #peoplematter
