THRIVING Thursday: As we approach the holidays, women often ask how do you begin to heal after a break up. Here are a few tips: 1. Reflect on the relationship. What happened and why. Your behavior patterns. What you/they did that hurt you and made you happy. What you did for them to please them vs what was just you. 2. Focus on you! Your health and mental wellbeing. 3. Go to therapy, find a hobby 4. Explore new things, discover you, your dreams and goals 5. Implement a plan to reach your goals 6. Let go of the past, focus on what you need to be happy NOW. Check out our THRIVE Journal to help you document your process

When do you first notice that you may be losing your mojo - and crucially, what do you do about it to prevent any slipping down a slippery slope that can happen to us all in that situation? One of our go-to techniques when we begin to feel a bit less than ourselves is to be really deliberate at least once a day - whether at the beginning or end of the day - in asking what are three things we're grateful for. The answers can be as small or as big as you like, but the trick is to keep asking ourselves - make it a habit - and involve loved ones if you like. Slowly but surely this can get easier and some people find this practice has been useful in helping stop that descent for themselves that can signal a decline in our resilience or mental wellbeing. Of course it wouldn't be realistic to say this is a quick fix for everyone, so when that descent does happen, you can find a listening ear to help you work through it at #AfterwordsCounselling as well. We hope you never feel you need to use us, but you know where we are if you feel you do. Drop us a line at [email protected] if you think we can help.

Today, on International Men’s Day, let’s pause to appreciate the incredible roles men play in shaping families, communities, and societies. From being providers and protectors to mentors and dreamers, men contribute in countless ways. But let’s not forget: strength isn’t just about lifting others—it’s also about taking care of yourself. To all the men out there: Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. Break the stigma, have the conversations, and seek support when you need it. You are not alone in your struggles, and asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness. Remember: You can’t pour from an empty cup. Prioritize your well-being so you can continue being the pillar of strength for others. Tag a friend, colleague, or loved one to remind them they’re appreciated today and every day. Let’s normalize self-care and mental health awareness among men. #InternationalMensDay #MentalHealth #MensWellbeing #SelfCare #Support

Self-Care Resolutions for the New Year! As we welcome 2025, let’s remind ourselves that taking care of our well-being is just as important as achieving our goals. This image from SelfLoveRainbow beautifully sums up small but meaningful resolutions we can embrace to prioritize self-care: ~ Unfollow what brings you down. ~ Create routines that focus on your needs. ~ Breathe, laugh, and meditate more. ~ Declutter your physical and emotional spaces. ~ Surround yourself with a loving community. Let’s step into the New Year with kindness toward ourselves, ensuring rest, self-reflection and mental health take center stage in our lives. Which one of these resolutions resonates with you the most? Or do you have your own self-care goals for 2025? Let’s inspire each other! Wishing you a joyful, restful, and fulfilling New Year!
