???? ???????? ???????? + ???? ?????????? ???? "?????????? ??????????????????" = ?????? ???????????????? ???? ????????????????????.? It’s a formula that’s put many people in charge of many industries… but ????’?? ?????? ???????????? ??????????????. Now, we need more than an expert in the manager’s chair. Expertise is the cost of admission, but there are many other crucial skills that fuel modern leaders. This article from Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard grabbed my attention by highlighting ????????????????????????????????, ????????????????????, ???????????????? ?????? ???? ?????? ???????????????? - ?????????????? ????????????????????t. We talk about “born leaders,” but leadership is a collection of skills that can be developed through study and thoughtfulness.?If YOU manage a manager, I encourage you to help your team learn more about those skills - served with a healthy serving of empathy. My DMs are always open if you manage a team and could use a listening ear.

Things often get harder before they get easier, that's particularly true of the most valuable outcomes. I'll admit to being riveted by the current turmoil in the media industry where we've always had a lot of clients. This article by Laura McNeill (Krantz) highlights the skills required for a critical next phase of adaptation that concurs with so much of our experience. Leadership investing in audience-first, product-led growth strategies are doing better and more likely to come out on the other side of this storm. However, the tactics that have brought them here, won't get them there. More innovation, with external perspectives, is critical. https://lnkd.in/dp8md8ns

When You're the 'Secret Sauce' It could be that you’re the catalyst for making the culture and performance succeed at work. Leaders may not always identify it or make changes for someone to emerge who can bring the group together, to benefit the collaboration and drive the mission, yet if they do, something special can be created. https://lnkd.in/gNG8HbpM #work #business #career #continuousimprovement #projectmanagement #reputation #problemsolving #teamdynamic

Leaders can set a tone that makes it clear that meticulous professionalism matters. The trick is to give people a clear reason why they should care—whether it’s because of safety reasons or knowing that, at the very least, people in leadership positions notice these things. TIME Reveals the 2024 TIME100 Most Influential Companies in the World. Today, TIME reveals the fourth annual?TIME100 Most Influential Companies?list, highlighting businesses and leaders shaping our world. Of the 2024 TIME100 Companies list, TIME Editor-in-Chief Sam Jacobs writes: “TIME100 Companies is more than an index of business success. It is an argument for what business influence looks like in 2024. At a time when leadership in other sectors is battered, surveys suggest that many look to corporate leaders first for direction….each show us how companies can provide new models and new inspiration for the future of humanity.” To assemble the list, TIME solicited nominations across sectors and polled its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts. Then TIME editors evaluated each on key factors, including impact, innovation, ambition, and success. Stories Aren’t Just For Children Stories are amazing, they can take you to places that you have never been and create memories that last forever.? I am showing my age, but I still remember my parents reading me The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton as a child with its world of amazing adventures at the top of the tree.? These memories stuck with me all my life and I read the same books to my children when they were younger.? However, stories aren't just for children, everyone loves a story and its why we believe its a critical skill for any Leader, regardless of the challenge they face. Being able to tell a compelling story requires practice, thought and dedication to keep your audience engaged.? Audiences will engage with different elements, some will hear facts and data; others will connect with the emotion of the story and some will just want to skip to the end of the book and see where the story is taking them! Story telling is NOT "communication", it is a deliberate process to help engage teams, get them to understand the direction you are going in and what will await them in the future.? The best stories are told time and time again and through that process become part of the fabric of the organisation. We love stories and have been lucky enough to work with several leadership teams recently to help them hone their story, their passion and their purpose into a compelling story to engage their teams.? If you'd like to find out more get in touch and we look forward to helping you build your story. https://lnkd.in/eEQ2jYBp
