I'm excited to announce the findings from our latest research on nursing deans! This study offers a comprehensive look at the role. Here are some highlights: ??A progressive shift toward diversity is evident as 88% of nursing deans are women, and 24% are individuals of color. ??There's a looming wave of retirements on the horizon. Many nursing deans are approaching retirement, with 40% aged 65 and older, including 13% who are 70 and above. ??The community of nursing deans shows a high level of educational achievement, with 99% holding doctoral degrees. ??Leadership turnover is notable, as 36% of nursing deans have been appointed in the past two years. The path to leadership often involves external appointments, with 62% of nursing deans coming from outside their current institutions. Additionally, 78% held leadership roles—such as associate deans, deans, or interim deans—just before taking on their current positions. For more information on our nursing leadership capabilities, check out the link in the comments. Feel free to reach out with any questions! #ImpactfulLeadership #NursingLeadership

One of the recommendations from the Final Report of the Australian Universities Accord is an increase in quality preparatory courses that are delivered fee-free and funded at a level that reflects the full cost of delivery. These enabling courses prepare students with interrupted educational journeys to qualify for higher degree entry. The short article below outlines the life-changing impact of CQUniversity's STEPS program. As a University, we have seen the transformative power of enabling courses for 38 years - in particular, providing opportunity to students in traditionally under-represented cohorts. Operating since 1986, STEPS (Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies) is designed to introduce students to the University environment and provide them with the tools for success - importantly, teaching them to be self-directed learners. It's wonderful to see a mum and her son, despite having initial doubts that higher education was for them, giving it a go by enrolling in STEPS and gaining entry to their chosen degree. Sue and Alvin are now both nurses, making a valued contribution to both the public and private health services in Bundaberg - such a great outcome for the community and their family. 'Until you try, you don't know what you can do'.
Bundaberg Mother and son Susan and Alvin White have become a dynamic duo in nursing thanks to CQUniversity’s Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) program. https://ow.ly/cErN50R787j

Absolutely thrilled to share how the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health MPH Program in Epidemiology was a game-changer for me. As the CNO of NPHub, the skills I honed in data analysis and public health strategies are instrumental in addressing the national provider shortage. Leveraging epidemiological insights allows us to streamline NP placements, optimize healthcare delivery, and make impactful decisions daily. Are you an NP program director/university dean or hospital exec interested in the MPH in Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health program or an MPH in general? I’d love to connect and offer tips on the application process. Let’s transform healthcare together! #HarvardMPH #Epidemiology #HealthcareLeadership #NPHub #PublicHealth #HealthcareTransformation #ConnectAndCollaborate

Transform your approach to scheduling nursing student rotations! Managing clinical rotations for nursing students is critical work – but the process is often mired in inefficiency. Schools send requests, and hospitals scramble to accommodate them. It's a common frustration that often results in imbalanced and ineffective scheduling. Learn more > https://hubs.la/Q02T7lR_0
