The Women Helping Women Peer Mentoring program is one of my favorite programs that SPW produces. It's where I have the tremendous honor of witnessing the impact that SPW provides live and in action. We are entrusted with the deep personal accounts of what our mentees are experiencing, and get to share in their challenges and successes. We get to celebrate the raise they asked for and received. We get to celebrate promotions, baby announcements, home purchases, and many personal and professional goals being achieved. Sometimes, we are there for the hard times too. The connections made in these groups are invaluable. If you are seeking a peer to peer mentoring opportunity, please consider applying for our Women Helping Women Peer Mentoring program. What I found particularly?useful was hearing different perspectives from like-minded women - and by that, I mean women who are dedicated to improving themselves, their colleagues, their workplaces. We came together with different backgrounds and experiences, at different times along our individual career paths, and I think we all learned a lot from each other. Not to mention the support! To be in a safe environment where we all felt safe to share our truths?led to some wonderful conversation. Nominating someone is an invaluable way to invest in their professional development and is also an effective way to reward and retain talent. The purpose of WHW is to develop future leaders in a confidential and intimate forum, which allows for the free exchange of lessons learned from experience, first‐hand advice from today’s leaders, and discussions around topics that will accelerate women’s full potential in the workplace.
