I sat down with Nicole Anand and Andrea Avila from Inclusive Action for the City to hear about the community development financial institution's loan programs and advocacy work. Inclusive Action seeks to uplift women and minority-owned microbusinesses in Los Angeles through a variety of resources including providing small dollar loans, grants, education programs, assistance in navigating permitting processes and more. The organization was recently honored with the Emerging Growth CDFI Award from the Opportunity Finance Network and has grown its loan deployment and assets significantly in the last couple of years.
