Does anyone else find it ironic that "hospital" and "hospitality" both came from the same word? They're both derived from the Latin word "hospes", which means both 'host' and 'guest'. It reflects the reciprocal relationship between those who provide care and those who receive it. It seems those who directly interact with hospital patients still understand and practice the art of hospitality. There's still a lot of 'care' inside hospitals. However, the 'business' side of most hospitals is the opposite of hospitable. Surprise bills, upcoding, patients sent to collections, minimal charity care... That's NOT hospitality. It's Big Business.

The Bamenda branch of Tabenken Youth Association, TAYA, has offered sanitary kits to four health facilities in Tabenken village, Nkambe Subdivision, Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region. The items donated over the weekend comprised; trash cans, buckets, wheelbarrows, spades, gloves, rain boots, brooms among others.
