This past weekend, we had the privilege of hosting a RGV Roller at the Dallas Stars facilities. It was a reminder that the true essence of hockey—and sports in general—isn’t in the highlights we see on TV, but in the human connections that drive the game forward. What makes the National Hockey League (NHL) and hockey at every level special isn’t the highlight reel moments, but the camaraderie, leadership, and personal growth we see in the locker room, on the bench, and in the community. These young players reminded us that behind every goal or big play is a person with a story, striving to improve, to support teammates, and to grow. #HumansNotHighlights is a concept that rings true in every rink. It’s not just about the wins, but the bonds we build along the way. Thanks to the RGV Roller for reminding us of the human side of hockey.
