Rough concrete can be ground smooth. But what about the elevation change that results from a surface being reduced to its lowest pit’s depth? What’s left is a low spot sometimes referred to as a “bird bath”. In instances where surface spalls and divots exist, Shotblasting might be the best option. Though it doesn’t smooth the surface, it removes the dirt and opens the concrete’s pores. Then the damage can be patched and subsequently ground.
