Z-PLASTY Z-plasty is a versatile plastic surgery technique that is used to improve the functional and cosmetic appearance of scars. It can elongate a contracted scar or rotate the scar tension line. The middle line of the Z-shaped incision (the central element) is made along the line of the greatest tension or contraction, and triangular flaps are raised on opposite sides of the two ends and then transposed. The length and angle of each flap are usually the same to avoid mismatched flaps that may be difficult to close. Some possible complications of Z-plasty include flap necrosis, haematoma (blood clot) formation under the flaps, wound infection, trapdoor effect and sloughing (necrosis) of the flap caused by wound tension and inadequate blood supply. Classification: Z-plasties can be functional (elongate and relax scars) or cosmetic (realign scars to make them less noticeable). They can be single or multiple. Variations include skew and planimetric Z-plasties. Technique: The transposition of two triangular flaps The incisions are designed to create a Z shape with the central limb aligned with the part of the scar that needs lengthening or re-aligning. The traditional 60° angle Z-plasty will give a theoretical lengthening of the central limb of 75%. Single or multiple z-plasties can be used. Specific modifications include the double-opposing z-plasty (sometimes called a "jumping man" flap) which can be useful for release of webbing of the medial canthus or release of 1st web space contractures. It is one of the techniques used in scar revision, especially in burn scar contracture. Functional Z-plasty: The lengthening of a scar. Used to help relax or release linear burn scar contractures. The technique is dependent on the availability of mobile adjacent skin. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #snsdesignthinking #snscopt

PLASTIC SURGERY This form of surgery is used to repair and reconstruct missing or damaged tissue and skin. The main aim of plastic surgery is to restore the function and appearance of tissue and skin so it's as close to normal as possible. Plastic surgery is different from cosmetic surgery, which is surgery carried out solely to change a person's appearance to achieve what they feel is a more desirable look. Plastic surgery can often help improve a person's self-esteem, confidence and overall quality of life. Plastic surgery can be used to repair: ? abnormalities that have existed from birth, such as a cleft lip and palate, webbed fingers, and birthmarks ? areas damaged by the removal of cancerous tissue, such as from the face or breast. ? extensive burns or other serious injuries. ? skin grafts – where healthy skin from an unaffected area of the body is removed and used to replace lost or damaged skin ? skin flap surgery – where a piece of tissue from one part of the body is transferred to another, along with the blood vessels that keep it alive; it's called flap surgery because the healthy tissue usually remains partially attached to the body while it's repositioned. ? tissue expansion – where surrounding tissue is stretched to enable the body to "grow" extra skin, which can then be used to help reconstruct the nearby area. ? fat transfer or grafting – where fat is removed from one area and inserted in another area, usually to correct unevenness. ? vacuum closure – where suction is applied to a wound through a sterile piece of foam or gauze to draw out fluid and encourage healing. #globalmedically #hairtransplant #facelifts #eyesurgery #dental surgery #breastreduction #cosmeticsurgery #liposuction #vasectomyreversal #earpinningsurgery #wisdomtoothremoval #liposuction #hipreplacement #kneereplacement #türkiyemedical #turkeymedical #istambulmedical #fue #fut

What is a Sinus Lift? A sinus lift, or sinus augmentation, is designed to create space in your mouth for a bone graft before dental implants are placed. The upper jaw contains empty, air-filled cavities called the sinuses below the eye and adjacent to the nose. You may require a sinus lift before implant placement for one of the following reasons: ?? Maxillary sinuses are too close to the jaw ?? Bone loss due to missing teeth or periodontal disease ?? Untreated tooth decay that spreads to the bone and weakens it ?? Medical conditions At Millennium Park Oral Surgery, a sinus lift opens up new possibilities. Have a look at our website for more information?? ?? Skin Tightening with Laser: An Alternative for Early Cases or a Complement to Surgery ?? Laser technology is an effective method for treating skin laxity, but it's important to recognize its limitations. For mild to moderate cases, laser treatment can deliver excellent results by stimulating collagen production and improving skin firmness. ?? However, in more advanced cases of skin laxity, laser treatment alone may not be enough to achieve the desired outcome. In these situations, it can be used as a complement to plastic surgery, enhancing the effects and helping to restore skin quality during recovery. ?? If you're dealing with mild skin laxity or looking for a less invasive approach, laser treatment can be a great option. For more severe cases, it works well as part of a combined treatment. Every case is unique and deserves a personalized evaluation. ?? ???Dr. Paulo Magno - Surgery beyond aesthetics. Types of eyelid cosmetic surgeries Blepharoplasty is one of the procedures with an extremely effective and efficient result in correcting the changes caused by the aging process. In accordance with the specific wishes and problems of the patient, the following types of eyelid plastic reconstruction can be performed: * Upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift). * Classic lower blepharoplasty (correction of the lower eyelids). * Transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty. * Circular blepharoplasty is a simultaneous correction of the upper and lower eyelids. * Non-surgical blepharoplasty. Modern eyelid surgery requires plastic surgeons to have knowledge of the anatomical features of the eye and the periocular zone. In addition, careful planning of the operation contributes to better results. An experienced and qualified doctor chooses the method of procedure based on the characteristics and needs of the patient. The choice in favor of the most appropriate method of blepharoplasty is individual for each patient. It helps to reduce and prevent post-operative effects such as bruising and swelling. The goal of plastic surgeons is not to remove as much tissue as possible, but to preserve volume and redistribute fat to give the skin a healthy, youthful appearance. Thus, you can get rid of sagging and bags under the eyes. Comment below if you want us to contact you! ?? Plastic Surgery: A Double-Edged Sword Plastic surgery has become increasingly popular in recent years, as people seek to improve their appearance and boost their self-confidence. While cosmetic procedures can offer certain benefits, it's important to be aware of the potential risks and drawbacks as well. * Can improve physical appearance and boost self-esteem * Can correct birth defects or injuries * Can help people feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin * Can be expensive and time-consuming * Can have serious health complications, including infection, scarring, and nerve damage * Can lead to addiction and body dysmorphic disorder * May not always meet expectations or produce desired results If you're considering plastic surgery, it's crucial to do your research and make an informed decision. Consult with a qualified plastic surgeon, discuss your goals and expectations, and weigh the potential benefits and risks carefully. Remember that plastic surgery is not a magic wand that can solve all your problems. It's important to have realistic expectations and to focus on improving your overall health and well-being, rather than solely relying on external enhancements. #plasticsurgery #cosmeticenhancements #selfconfidence #healthrisks #informeddecision Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to undergo plastic surgery is a personal one. It's important to approach it with caution, weigh the pros and cons carefully, and seek professional guidance to ensure a safe and successful outcome.
