Today, we the students of flagship program had the incredible opportunity to attend our first CXO session at Masters' Union, hosted by our director, Mahak Garg, highlighting none other than Mr.Sourjyendu Medda . As the Co-founder and Chief Business Officer of DealShare, a fast-growing social e-commerce platform, Mr. Medda's journey and insights were truly inspiring and filled with valuable lessons. Here are some key takeaways: 1???India is a very social country?????: Feedback is abundant here! Whether you ask for it or not, people are ready to share their thoughts and opinions. If you want to gather quality feedback, offering freebies can be a great strategy to engage more people and get honest responses. It's amazing how open and helpful people can be. 2???How to know if your startup idea is the right idea???? a.?Passion: Feel deeply about your idea, enough to dedicate your life to it. b.?Commercialization: The need and monetization aspects are crucial. An idea must have a clear path to revenue generation to be sustainable. Without a viable business model, even the best ideas can fail. c.?Strategy: Figuring out the best way to commercialize is key. Spent some time with student entrepreneurs from PES University just a while ago. I must repeat this - the mentality shift in engineering and business colleges I visit is phenomenal. There is openness to try entrepreneurship. There are relatively fewer students seeking jobs as opposed to wanting to create jobs. There is a deeper understanding of what it means to start up. There is awareness of what makes a good business. There is a visible effort to do customer interviews and find the problem worth solving. There is a clear direction in the minds of all these students on how difficult this could be. All of these didn't happen overnight. The support through Governments, incubators, investors, mentors, friends, family, and so many others have enabled more Indians to take risks, bet on problem statements, and spend time building in India for Indians. ???? What better day than today, National Startup Day, to celebrate all of this. ?? Also, we are doing our bit through Rainmatter by Zerodha and Zerodha to support all these entrepreneurs.
