???????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????? As we celebrate #HispanicHeritageMonth, we honor the rich history and invaluable contributions of the Hispanic communities. Connecticut Bar Foundation recognizes that, despite progress, significant barriers to justice remain for many within these communities. Hispanic individuals often face challenges when seeking legal assistance, including language barriers and economic obstacles. These gaps in accessing justice can leave families vulnerable, particularly when facing issues such as eviction, immigration, healthcare access, and domestic violence. Through our support of civil legal aid organizations, Connecticut Bar Foundation works to bridge these gaps by funding services that provide culturally competent, accessible legal support for Hispanic individuals across Connecticut. Our grantees are on the front lines, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of justice, regardless of their background or income. This month, we recommit ourselves to breaking down the systemic barriers that continue to impact Hispanic communities and ensuring equal access to justice for all. #HispanicHeritage #AccessToJustice #CivilLegalAid #DiversityAndInclusion #ConnecticutBarFoundation #JusticeForAll

Here's one about the difficult and inspiring #transitionaljustice work by my American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative colleagues in #TheGambia.

President Trump’s inaugural address laid out a vision that threatens millions of immigrants who are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. To those impacted: You are not alone. Together, we resisted before, and we will continue to organize and build power to protect immigrant communities. CIPC and our partners will fight back by informing, organizing, and urging leaders at every level to reject Trump’s harmful, anti-immigrant agenda. We will also push state and local leaders to invest in legal assistance, protect programs that support immigrants, and advocate for a California for All—making our state a beacon of hope for the nation and the world. ? With 1.5 million immigrants eligible for citizenship but trapped in a complex and costly legal system, access to justice is out of reach for too many. Justicia Lab leverages behavioral science, plain-language legal content, and AI to empower immigrants and their advocates with the tools they need for economic and legal justice. Together, we can help create a fairer, more accessible path to citizenship. #hpegives #hpeacceleratingimpact
