BTE Alert !!! (Best of the Best Team Ever) As previously announced last month, I will be posting a slide calling out members of my crew (THE BEST TEAM EVER !!!) every month. These names are based upon submissions to me in 3 categories…and again, I want to call out that to pick the persons and stories from my crew is a daunting task…I am blessed to be a part of a team of amazing people. The catogories are… All Star Performers: Pretty Self Explanatory. While our team always posts great results, market beating results…these individuals are called out for posting results that shock and surprise their management team…in a good way. Team Work Award: Again pretty self explanatory except that what I love about this is when people show this quality…it means that they lead by example. They exhibit a quality we cherish at TDSynnex And lastly Going the Extra Mile…which is now named the “Damon Mims Award”…TDSynnex recently lost one of our team un-expectedly. And at the suggestion of the team, we’ve named the award in his honor, based upon what he was known for…taking that extra time, extra effort, to make something positive happen. The above are all qualities that are part of what make up the BTE, the Best Team Ever !!! You need performance, you need team work, you need selfless effort to post stellar results… Proud to recognize this months awardees and what better place to do it than where I am this week (TDSynnex Clearwater Office) at TDSynnex’s Quarterly Executive meeting where I can share these stories of success with co-workers from my teams and other teams. We're proud of the work we're doing here - BUT, there's a lot more to be done. Benchmarking and connecting is paramount - it's the purpose of these awards. -Milspouses are still underutilized, underemployed and often challenged to find a reasonable career option. -Guard/Reserve are still underutilized, un-connected in some cases, and better benefits/practices are often hard to push. -Skillbridge and similar programs are often being improperly employed, causing multiple transitions for service members. - Finally, many organizations don't realize the massive bottom line impacts of having a successful, well-oiled program. It's more than "nice to have". It's great for business and people. Congratulations to all of the companies who've been recognized by the VETS Indexes awards that were recently released. Cushman & Wakefield has ranked 5 Star for the 2nd consecutive year. We're only able to do this with the hard work of so many alongside us. But there's more to be done. Most of us in the workforce spend more time with our colleagues than we do with our family and friends. And many of us work within a ''team''. You know the saying, ''you can pick your friends but not your family''. Well, the same can be said for your colleagues. I visited our client, Holmesglen, today to present the CSBA Association for Tertiary Education Management Customer Excellence Award. I noticed this ''Team Family Tree'' on display. Naturally I asked about it as I'd never seen one before. I was told it's a visual representation of their team, all branches (people) together make up this majestic tree (their team). As new people join, the tree will continue to grow new branches. I love what this tree represents. The team love being part of this tree. To win a team award for Customer Service Excellence, every team member needs to contribute. They need to work as a team. They understand they are the first and last impression for the customer.
