Tested out a game called "VERSEBREAK Prologue". You are spellcaster who is a part of a religious faction that wants to get rid of an evil world-dominating cultic faction by doing a holy crusade. Seeing you are a spellcaster you won't get generic ballistic hardware but have elemental spells in place of it. Though, FPS tropes like rocket-jumping are here even without the rocket launcher. When playing I came across some interesting bugs. One of the bugs was that you could get over the boss trigger by rocket-jumping over it and saying hello to the boss man. Plus, there was another that was basically a fire-rate exploit tied to the mouse-wheel. Tested a game (pre-alpha) in the metroidvania genre where the locations and characters are things a child would have like toys and nursery rhyme books. The protagonist of this game is a teddy bear called Barty who gets a rattle as a melee weapon and has other abilities like a bubble wand that can send him back in time. Tested yet another game demo this week. The game is called "Damion's Descend"? Probably a typo? Anyways, it is in the survival horror genre and is very similar to Cry Of Fear which the developer has said is one of the games they thought about while making it. It also happens to be a school project which is pretty nice also and might explains the quantity of bugs. Don’t forget to check out the latest demo I’ve played. Was a really nice space game where the building mechanic utilised voxels and required only few parts to get a ship running. This meant it was pretty easy to make your own ship, unlike other games where you might need a YouTube tutorial. The game also had a decent amount of bugs which I’ve highlighted for the developer to see.
