Below is an excerpt from my post of a week ago following the initial story that QCOM is looking at Intel CCG (Step 1). We're now at Step 2. (??ヮ?)? If this moves forward, the sequence of articles will be (company names changed to be generic): 2. A repeat of this story. 3. A story saying Company X is exploring strategic options for Business. 4. A story saying Companies A and B are also looking at Business. 5. "Sources close to the matter say Company C is offering $100xxx for Business." 6. If The Street balks, a repeat of the above story but the value changed to $80xxx. 7. If The Street then says that's crazy low, we'll get an official press release saying Company C and Company X have agreed to a deal for Business, valuing it at $90xxx.
