It's so simple..

Hamas PR strategy should be taught at universities (not because universities now affiliate themselves with Hamas, but because their PR is JUST THAT GOOD). Let me explain. Last night as my family and I were eating dinner we see news of a ceasefire agreement and videos of Gazans celebrating (below). Shortly after, we see, in the Israeli news at least, that Hamas accepted a proposal put forth by Egypt and Qatar (and some say drafted by the US CIA) - THAT ISRAEL NEVER AGREED TO. So, now Hamas has put Israel on the defensive, having to explain why ISRAEL isn't agreeing to a ceasefire and being the burden to peace. And it worked!! News organizations worldwide: ??didn't bother to verify with Israel that they also agreed to a ceasefire, ??continued to believe a terrorist organization that lie all of the time, ??pushed fake news without any regard for THEIR reputation. And the headlines that DO mention that Israel didn't agree to the plan make Israel look like the bad guy, not accepting the deal that Hamas agreed to. And don't even get me started on headlines like this (from the NYT): Hamas’s offer to hand over 33 hostages includes some who have died. Oh, who died? Like peacefully in their sleep of old age while being HOSTAGES? So, you can see, how successful Hamas' PR strategy is. They dictate "All the News That's Fit to Print"! #standwithisrael

NEW Research Paper: Responding to instability in Iraq’s Sinjar district This XCEPT research paper by Zmkan Saleem and Renad Mansour explores how Sinjar's remote location and its mountainous topography has enabled external groups to gain authority and access secure transit routes that connect conflicts in Iraq, Türkiye, Syria and Lebanon. A more transnational approach to Sinjar, which includes the PKK and the PMF in future negotiations over the district, has the potential to make real progress in stabilizing the area so that its citizens can return home.
