I believe that Generative AI is amazing, powerful, and unstoppable, but can be even better by being fair to the content creators that power it.. ProRata.ai is creating a platform to compute the partial attribution / contribution of content and share revenue 50/50 on a ProRata basis with publishers, authors, animators, illustrators and more (all creators). Getting top creators a fair share whenever their work is used by AI is a good first step, to at least get the IP landlords on board with a solution that doesn't require constant lawsuits. But any real solution has to deal with mashups and the "long tail" of creation, because everything ultimately is a mashup of what came before. We should be fostering an abundance of content and ideas, not only helping the top 1% to protect theirs in a way that drives scarcity as the ideal business model. Digital abundance benefits everyone, and it's in line with how the internet works anyway. This is so important. After all, any other business has to pay for its raw materials, so I’m not sure why AI tools should be any different. And the fact that you have a smaller pool to draw from seems like a temporary problem. Will you have a signup mechanism for content creators, or is the intention to keep it as a limited but high quality pool that creators have to “qualify” or be invited to join? Either could work. Option a gives you a bigger pool but option b lets you charge more for ad placement. Interesting stuff.
