It's T-Level Thursday of #NAW2024! What are T-Levels? ? An alternative to A Levels, apprenticeships and other FE courses ? Equivalent to 3 A Levels ? Focussing on vocational skills ? Containing 45 days of industry placement, approx. 80% in the classroom/workshop and 20% industry placement (sort of like an apprenticeship in reverse) ? Upon completion, students can enter skilled employment, higher study or an #apprenticeship!

A fabulous 2 days at the 10th Annual Apprenticeship conference (AAC) - insight, direction, reflection, future pathways and emerging skills identification, collaborative working practices and sharing success in abundance. The conference is a crucial event for apprenticeship employers, stakeholders and providers, and it provides valuable insights and updates for all those involved in the delivery of apprenticeships. AAC offers business-critical updates, advice, and keeps everyone informed about industry trends and best practices to drive positive outcomes. The conference explored various pathways for apprenticeship programs, including innovative approaches, policy changes, and strategic planning. Identifying and addressing emerging skills gaps is crucial for preparing apprentices for the evolving job market and AAC discussed how to adapt apprenticeship programs to meet these changing needs. Collaboration is key to success and the AAC emphasised the importance of working together across organizations, sectors, and regions to enhance apprenticeship delivery celebrating successful apprenticeship stories. As we wrap up another successful edition of the Annual Apprenticeship Conference, I can't help but feel inspired and energised by the wealth of knowledge, innovation, and community spirit that was on full display throughout the event. This year's conference was nothing short of remarkable, bringing together over 1,700 industry leaders, educators, and policymakers from across the UK to engage in discussions, share best practices, and celebrate the power of apprenticeships in shaping the future of our workforces. It was a pleasure to co-chair the conference once again with Kirstie Donnelly, MBE. Her natural talent as a presenter, combined with her ability to infuse fun into the proceedings, truly made it a memorable experience.
