He achieved the first nonstop flight from New York to Paris in under 34 hours. Among the few things he requested for this monumental journey were fuel, sandwiches, a few tools, and most notably, a crescent wrench. Unlike a standard half-inch or ten-millimeter wrench, the crescent wrench was adjustable and versatile. Its flexibility made it indispensable. ?? As we navigate challenging times, it’s crucial to embrace flexibility and adaptability. Everything happen in life bring to us a good lesson. When did your big team slow down and stop to fix the problem that one of the teammate got to overcome? Here is an example when my motocycle team face on the tour: one biker got his flat type seriously and seem he need a big support or he need to stay to let the team continue the tour. The solutions we took are always backed up: 1. The problem immediately solved for short term, we fix the tyre by emergency tool, but he need to ride back home and change the tyre, meaning that we lost one biker for the ride… 2. We don’t want to disapoint our biker even that temporary fix can help him a bit, so we try to escort him to the shop on the way that can change the tyre, this could help the safety ride for our biker. The tour may go slow but we finally enjoy the ride without losing anyone. So for you, which solution you choose? Helping and supporting the teammate, or just let them behind to secure the timeline and team goal in term of KPI?
