IASTMotion的动态

Meet Andres Leon! Andres is a senior in biomedical engineering with a minor in mathematics. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he moved to Orlando, Florida, to complete his high school education before pursuing his passion for innovation and healthcare. His goal is to push the boundaries of biomedical technology, specifically in the medical devices industry, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals with treatable conditions. As a co-founder of IASTMotion, his team is dedicated to making rehabilitation more accessible and affordable. Their mission is to reshape the physical therapy landscape by developing a fully mechanized system of Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) to treat musculoskeletal injuries. They are excited to be a part of the second cohort of USTAAR and are actively working to achieve success. Beyond his academic and entrepreneurship ventures, a fun fact about him is that he played semi-professional soccer around the country. He also represented Venezuela in Karate at an international competition in Okinawa, Japan, and if you were wondering, no, he didn’t win.
