September was dedicated to Suicide Prevention Awareness, and we at the Iama Center want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Your support makes a difference?? We had the honor of attending the Out of the Darkness Walk, a powerful event organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. It was an incredible experience to join a community of individuals united in raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. As we walked together, we shared stories, honored loved ones, and fostered connections that promote healing and hope. This event reminded us of the importance of supporting one another and the impact we can make through collective action. We wanted to take a moment to recap our experience! ?? Check out this video to see the impact of your generosity. Together, we can raise awareness and foster hope. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #selfcare #selflove #suicideprevention #suicideawareness #suicidepreventionmonth #suicide #love #support

Today is a powerful reminder to reach out, connect, and truly ask, "R U OK?" You never know how much difference a simple conversation can make in someone’s life. Mental health is a journey, and sometimes we all need a little support. Whether it's a family member, a friend, a colleague, or even a stranger – now’s the time to ask. Create space for open conversations and listen without judgment. In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, your presence, your care, and your words matter more than you know. I’m proud to be involved with Strike Out Suicide , raising awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention. Together, we can create a space where more people feel safe, supported, and heard. So, today I encourage you to pause, reflect, and ask – "R U OK?" 24 years ago today, my life changed in a way I never imagined. On this day, my little brother, Mikey, died by suicide, unable to endure his inner turmoil. Back then, I was unaware of the signs to look for or the resources available to help. Today, as a mental health & suicide prevention advocate, I know anyone can make a difference. You don't need to be a clinician to make a difference. Here's how you can help spread awareness & hope: ????You can share resources like the #RealConvoGuide: https://lnkd.in/dedNMVEa. ????Join a walk, donate, or take suicide prevention training (such as QPR often offered by Mental Health America both in person or virtually). ????I invite you to join and/or donate to the walk I chair: https://lnkd.in/gSH6qmYV ????Explore and share these resources: https://lnkd.in/ggFCVk7U. Taking a few minutes to review and share these resources might save a life. For Mikey, for all who have suffered, are suffering, and for the hope of tomorrow. ?? ?? If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text?988?or chat?988lifeline.org. Veterans, press 1 when calling. Text?TALK to 741-741?to text with a trained crisis counselor from the Crisis Text Line for free, 24/7 #Suicideprevention #orangebeads #siblingloss #AFSP #RealConvo #Tomorrowneedsyou #988 #CrisisTextLine

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let's get straight to the point: it's about time we prioritize compassion and genuine support. Here at No Bullshit Marketing, yeah, we kick ass at digital marketing, but what really revs our engines is making a real difference in mental health. Our foundation, Burgers & Bands for Suicide Prevention, is our way of throwing a punch in the fight against suicide. It's not just a charity; it's our mission to crack open the conversation on mental health, offering a lifeline to those teetering on the edge and pumping resources into local schools and organizations. Because here's the no-bullshit truth: we can market the heck out of your business, but what's it all worth if we're not looking after each other? Let's band together and make this month count. #MentalHealthMatters #BurgersAndBands #YouAreNotAlone
