As we gear up for the NASW Nevada Chapter's 2024 Annual Conference, I am thrilled to share more details about what promises to be an inspiring and impactful event. This conference is not just an opportunity for professional development—it's a celebration of our collective commitment to social work and the communities we serve. Highlights of the 2024 Conference: Inspiring Speakers: Hear from renowned leaders in social work who will share insights on the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in our field including professionals from here in Nevada. Educational Workshops: Participate in interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics, from mental health and policy advocacy to cultural competency. Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow social workers from across Nevada, exchange ideas, and build lasting professional relationships. See the conference brochure by clicking the image. (.pdf) Invest in Yourself and Our Profession When you purchase Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through NASW Nevada, you're making a dual investment. Not only do you enhance your own professional skills, but you also contribute to the strength and advancement of our profession. The revenue generated from CEU purchases is reinvested directly into advocacy efforts, educational programs, and initiatives that fight for your interests at the local and state levels. Special Offer: Let's Grow Stronger Together We believe that our collective strength lies in unity. If you know colleagues who are not yet members of NASW, now is the perfect time to invite them to join. Any new member who joins NASW Nevada between now and the conference date will receive free admission to the 2024 Annual Conference. By expanding our membership, we amplify our voice and increase our impact on the issues that matter most to our profession. Share the Opportunity We encourage you to share this special offer with your non-member colleagues. Together, we can build a more robust and connected social work community in Nevada. Let's stand united because we are stronger together. Register Today! https://lnkd.in/gXWyZ8up Don't miss out on this enriching experience. Visit?NASWMeets.org?for more information. At the NPA Summit, accessibility isn’t just a priority—it’s a commitment. We believe all product thinkers should have the opportunity to participate and share with the community, regardless of financial background. That's why we offer tiered ticket pricing and a limited number of community-supported tickets for members of historically marginalized communities at no cost. Our approach has made a real impact: ?? “Being part of a small team in Venezuela and facing lots of challenges makes this event extremely helpful because it opens our eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. The chance to understand how a team should work, how can we improve our workflows, and how can we use the correct tools is very valuable.” We want you to choose the ticket option that ensures you can attend the Summit. Whether you're part of a legacy outlet with full support or an independent journalist, there's a place for you. Save your spot and join us on October 11! https://lnkd.in/ggA-g5y??

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.) & Holmusk are excited to present our newest collaboration at #ADAA2024 entitled “Real-world insights into the heterogeneity of treatment patterns and clinical outcomes in patient with #PTSD”. Another example of how #RWD / #RWE from the #NLP enriched #NeuroBlu suite supports evidence generation to address the evidence gap and realize the promise of #PrecisionPsychiatry by uniquely integrating psychometric assessments such as #CGI-S for longitudinal insights of cognitive global impairment. Please reach out to myself, Nawal Roy, or Tony Tramontin if our team can help you better understand #depression or #anxiety.
ADAA 2024 is THIS week! We're looking forward to seeing everyone in Boston in just a few days. On Nov 1, 2017 I set out to do something "small" and it turned into something "big." I formalized what is now the Orchestrated Connecting Community I'd built over the prior 1.5 years into what I call a Purposeful Community, and 140 sold-out events later in 10 cities, this is a global community seen as an ethically and outcome-driven network of networks. On Oct 14th (evening) and Oct 15th (full day) in New York City, I'm proud to launch my first Orchestrated Conference focusing on the interaction of AI, Mental Health, Health and Wellness, Sports, Patriotism, and Community in many shapes and forms! There are many ways to hold an amazing conference, and many of my friends do an incredible job with theirs. I just want a different outcome, as I have proven with our more intimate Gatherings. I'm tired of standing in hallways to maximize the value of attending, when what I want is curated conversations with other attendees that aren't speed dating or random, but intentional. I don't want to spend 95% of my time being talked at--- I want to interact, to collaborate and to feel valued for my time. I also want to know what I'm eating before I attend, who is going, and that I have to be fully present for the day in order to be accepted to come. This isn’t a conference with some famous person speaking who draws you in but then leaves out the back door. Finally, I want the outcome of my time to be more than 2-3 hopefully positive, substantial conversations. Honestly I'd like that number to be 10+ and for this conference we're aiming for 25 each person. If you're connected to me, and want to learn more and apply, click the link below, it tells you almost everything. Please write me if you want to apply or nominate someone, and learn more! https://lnkd.in/eEdQce_i

Today is Global Accessibility Day. I am so grateful to everyone who helps make my world more accessible. Here are few tips: 1) Think about for conferences/workshops/meetings providing material in advance in an editable format for those who need it. For me being able to go to talks or events with the information in an accessible format to me makes all the difference. 2) Think about having quiet spaces at events or if you are in meetings giving people the space to leave if they need to. Sometimes the world can be overstimulating and people, including me, have our strategies for dealing with this. 3) Never be afraid to ask what someone needs/mention the options you have. It may seem daunting but asking someone about their needs can be really empowering for them. 4) If you can have someone specialising in assistive technology at your organisation. You never know who may need it. Thanks for reading and thanks for all those who support in making this world a more accessible and inclusive place. Love the work I get to do for CCCAOE! Managing a project like a conference takes a ton of coordination, planning, and foresight; from venue contracts years in advance to evaluating the results of the post conference survey and everything in between to make sure the attendees have an amazing experience! Fun fact: for this year’s (2024) conference theme, I prompted the image creation using Canva Magic (AI). My favorite parts? Planning all the little details, working with speakers and committee members, creating and executing the project timeline (a 12 to 16 month process), the energy, seeing all the parts come together cohesively, seeing attendees having fun while learning! Already deep into the next three events: Leadership Academy in January, Policy Summit in March and Spring Conference in April. #canvamagic #eventplanner #conferenceplanner #eventprojectmanager
WOW! What a week it was! Extending our sincerest THANK YOU for all YOU do to make the CCCAOE conferences what they are. It takes the work of over 60 volunteers, including board members and committee members, and the contribution of over 125 presenters! We can't wait to share the photos with you when they are ready! Session Materials are available in the app; a newsletter is going out with a tutorial on accessing the sessions post-event. We have received some incredible feedback and look forward to even more information from your voice through the post-conference survey. Please take a moment to fill out the survey and let us know how we can positively impact future conferences and CCCAOE events! Complete the post-conference survey from the newsletter being sent this week!
