I know my senior leadership Anthem Management, is focused on doing so and I intend to ensure we deliver above and beyond. 500 tickets...... Within 2 months..... Not at our development. Option 1: Work with me, on fair transparent terms, with a fair approach to our residents. Option 2: I replace you and end all association with such service providers. It had completely slipped my mind that among the madness of March we had just signed off on our last job of our Financial Year. There's never enough time to stop and reflect on this when you run your own business. You are already setting up for the next project or putting strategy and plans in place for the next phase of growth. All whilst keep the daily plates spinning, anticipating the questions of clients and ensuring the team have the systems, information, skills and training needed for their jobs. But taking that moment to celebrate the wins is really important - and usually overlooked. Each month I report on our KPIs in order that we can look for improvements in in our services, processes and communications. The mindset going into it is usually negative. The funny thing is that once you start listing the positives, learnings and triumphs of the year, it is hard to stop. My #InsuranceStory: I went to college for Criminal Justice and Arabic. Super insurancey right?!?! WRONG! I worked in various #jobs in Probation and Parole, Corrections as well as a social worker after I graduated. They were all jobs to me. I went overseas and became a defense contractor. I was responsible for going off base and surveying battle damaged vehicles and bringing them back to base for retrograde or disposing of them. Essentially material damage adjusting or field auto appraising of multi-million dollar vehicles. I was getting ready to come home and end my second contract and I put an application at Erie Insurance Group. Why? Advice from my Father: "If you're going to come back to your hometown, you might as well work at the best company in your hometown while you figure out what you want to do next." I just returned home this weekend from a big regional area meet in Pensacola and saw this. Wanted to share it as this is the beauty of cross country and how it would apply if we used that same spirit in our work and personal lives. These are not my words but as a 7+ year cross country mom, they very well could be. —- What if we lived life like we were all in a cross country meet? What if we watched other people and recognized that we're all just trying to get across the finish line? What if we understood that some people are running as hard as they can but battling illnesses, invisible injuries, and internal struggles? Every step is hard, but they're trying not to quit. What if we cheered for everyone even if they weren't on our team? What if we realized just finishing something, no matter how long it took us or how messy it seemed, was enough? In fact, it was a win. What if we used every race as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and how we could use each other for support, inspiration, and help to reach our goals? What if we cheered loud for the winner, but even louder for the one who comes in after because they accomplished something great, too? In a world that tells us it's about me, me, me, what if we started living to support everyone brave enough to be in the race? For Women’s History Month, we’re recognizing the successes and achievements of BARDA employees. Meet Connie Song, Lead Contract Specialist, Division of Contract Management and Acquisitions. One of Connie’s greatest career achievements to date is having the opportunity to support the BARDA mission and working with such a talented and dedicated group. She added, “specifically providing contracting support to the Division of Research, Innovation and Ventures (DRIVe) in launching new and novel program initiatives.” Connie’s advice to young women who are just starting their professional careers is: “stay true to yourself and pursue your passions.
