Almost 40% of all Americans suffer from a respiratory condition. That's more than 130 million people. Chances are these numbers will even trend higher ion others parts of the world where things like air quality or smoking would add additional risks. Every single one of them is coughing. And yet, in our clinical standards we have normalized the fallacy that somehow we don't need to quantify this incredibly common and critical symptom. It makes sense. People's subjective perception of their own coughing is unreliable. And using "gold standard" methods to quantify cough - sound recorders that record everything - has been seriously impractical. This is a problem that Hyfe has solved. It is now not only possible but in fact easy and convenient to measure cough in pretty much any setting.
