There are a lot of temptations in corporate america. Cutting corners because "No one will know" Slandering others to advance one's career because if the other person is bad, you must be better. Right? Misrepresenting data to fit one's own agenda. And so on. There are many clowns who play these games. And if you do as well, you will end up in the sewer with them. Suffice it to say, it never ends well. So if you find these scary clowns on your team, as a leader you need to get rid of them. Otherwise, you will eventually find yourself with a team full of scary clowns because all the good talent will leave. And this will be terrifying for you, your company and your career. #marketingrecruiting #salesrecruiting #medtechrecruiting #hightechrecruiting

For our hiring tip today, let’s talk about friends as employees. While hiring your friends might be tempting, prioritizing qualifications and fit for the role is essential. Before diving into hiring, ask yourself: What does my company need? What are the essential skills and qualities for this position? Then, evaluate your friends based on their credentials and behavioral tendencies. Remember, a good employee isn't necessarily a good friend, and vice versa. #HiringTip #Employees #Skylar

Happy Monday! Another week of looking for the next step in a career, going over the positions that, though the interviews were great, have "unfortunately been filled". It's frustrating, but in retrospect, you are interviewing these companies as well they are interviewing you. After researching more, are these companies you'd still want to work at and stay in contact with if more opportunities arise? The same places I enjoyed interviewing last time I was available have often been the same places I look at to see how they have been doing. One resource has been : https://stillhiring.today/ , to keep up on companies that are still looking to expand their workforce, and some companies I admire. I've been in the position that I didn't feel ready to join a company, but wanted to work with them after I had some better experience to fit their needs. I've submitted my resume over several years as opportunities opened up, all the while, building skills and working at places I also enjoyed and made coworker friends at. So instead of one more rejection, if you still feel you want to work some place and love what they do, reframe the perspective to "not this time", and keep an eye out for the next time, when you're that much more prepared and experienced. The connections you make now in the interview process may be the dream position in your future. Good luck this week.

Big news, friends - our first full-time hire is coming on board next week. Here's how we approached this unconventional hiring process: 1. Lightning fast - Pinged him in the morning, had dinner together the same day 2. Vision alignment - Prioritize someone who truly gets what we're trying to achieve 3. Culture first - Focus on cultural fit before diving into skills 4. Genuine connection - Our dinner talk? LinkedIn, creators, family, and cricket - not the role 5. Ego at the door - Approached the conversation with humility and openness 6. Authenticity wins - Being easily approachable and open to real discussions The result? We found someone who feels like they've been part of our journey all along. I can't wait to see what we'll achieve together. Keep an eye on this space – I'll be sharing more about our new team member and our exciting plans soon. P.S. What's your best tip for welcoming a new hire?

I know hiring the right team members can be so challenging.?? I'm a huge proponent of hiring for the right culture fit along with skills and experience and Judy Qiao is a great example! If you're looking to level up your hiring process or want some insight on how we met our latest superstar team member, I'll link to my latest article in the comments. ??You can't launch a rocketship by yourself. Make sure you have a supportive team along for the ride. It's more fun that way too.???? #legalteam #hiring #lawjobs #dreamteam #leadership #lawfirm
