Today marks National Grandparents’ Day. For those who may not know, Effie Burns, our namesake, was the grandmother to owner and developer Tom Becnel—and it is her essence on which our hotel was built. Effie was the ultimate hostess, welcoming every guest with open arms as one of her own. She exuded genuine hospitality, making every person feel like the only one in the room. Just like Effie, our hotel is full of charm, elegance and gracious personality.
