?? Asian leads represented 6.6% among all theatrical film leads in 2023 ?? Among Asian leads in theatrical films, there was 1 South Asian male and 2 South Asian females in 2023. ?? Among Asian actors in all theatrical roles, there were 10 South Asian males and 9 South Asian females in 2023. .......according to the UCLA Hollywood Diversity Report . These statistics underscore the primary reason I founded my production company: to bridge the diversity gap in mainstream cinema, particularly for South Asian/Indian leads. Our first feature, "The Speck In Your Eye," which I have written, is a step towards this goal. The film weaves together an ensemble cast's stories, featuring individuals from Indian (South Asian), Black, Caucasian, LGBTQ+, and Deaf communities. It explores the intersections of their lives, illustrating how each unique story leaves an indelible mark and reshapes the broader narrative of understanding, acceptance, and interconnectedness. If you are a like-minded creative who shares the ethos of changing the representation of people of color in cinema and would like to join me in this effort, please send me a DM or an email at [email protected]. #DiversityInFilm #FilmIndustry #filmmaking #entertainmentindustry #screenwriting #filmproducing #filmfinancing #independentfilms #southasiansinfilms

Why thank CHILI and Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios ? Because this film broke the viewership record, as did many others and thanks to the LGBTQ+ community who supported the arrival of this film in Italy. Is Italy hypocritical and homophobic? Yes, I confirm it. I proposed this splendid film to many national broadcasters who flaunt LGBTQ+ rights just to make money and audit but are not interested in broadcasting a film censored by Putin in Russia and which deals with a story that really happened. Why don't the big Italian television stations want this topic? LGBTLGBT Foundation Thanks to these two companies who accepted the film, neither Netflix (Italy) despite receiving emails or other things to its managers they opened the doors to this little masterpiece. Don't start saying, quality etc because the dubbing that I hear elsewhere even on TV makes me go to the bathroom to relieve myself. ?? Don't talk about quality because I see certain films on air distributed by your friends, lovers, relatives and political nonsense that make me put two fingers in my mouth. We're talking about incompetent people you have in the company and not only that, we're talking about favoritism and the usual strange turns that then come to the surface. If you have an excellent product and you don't choose it, I deduce two things: you don't have the money and you can't afford it so you boast about fake numbers or you keep paid people who don't know how to do their job and you have an open streak that bleeds your company dry .

Though there is inconsistent progress on #LGBTQ representation from major distributors year to year, recent films with LGBTQ leads prove that our stories can absolutely be both critical and commercial successes - when they have the full support of the studio behind them. As the film production and distribution model continues to evolve, major distributors must deepen investment and intention in storytelling efforts to retain the attention of growing young diverse audiences, who crave stories that reflect their experience and their values. If LGBTQ #representation continues to decline in major releases, these companies will lose relevance with a crucial buying audience. GLAAD is committed to continuing and deepening our work with studios and the creative community to ensure we meet this moment together. GLAAD’s Studio Responsibility Index maps the quantity, quality and #diversity of LGBTQ characters in film. The Index also serves as a road map for studios, identifying priorities and opportunities to increase and improve fair, accurate and #inclusive LGBTQ representation and storytelling in film. #Didyouknow??? Diversity in film and TV isn’t just a trend—it's essential for creating a more inclusive world. When diverse casts are featured, it allows audiences to see themselves reflected on screen, fostering understanding and breaking down stereotypes. ? In the UK, the journey towards representation in TV began slowly but has grown over the decades. Early shows had a predominantly white cast, but series like "Desmond's" in the 80s and "Queer as Folk" in the 90s started showcasing Black British and #LGBTQ+ stories. Today, with shows like "Top Boy" and "Bridgerton," representation is expanding. By prioritising diversity, we create content that resonates with a broader audience, showing future generations that their stories and identities matter. Representation isn't just visibility—it's about ensuring everyone is seen, heard, and understood. ?? #DiversityMatters #RepresentationInMedia #Film #Television #InclusiveCompanies

An important second reason, probably more important reason, is that I haven't seen AI moving image narratives that aren't trite, cloying and boring after the first 15 seconds. I believe that there will be no great AI moving image narrative work until there are great storytellers using AI to tell great stories that we can care about and feel invested in, just like any other great story conveyed in moving images. For that reason, AI moving image art should be encouraged so that the novelty wears off and the art form matures sooner; and the first great AI storytellers emerge.*** English subtitles. 1st year.
