The wildfires currently devastating our city and surrounding areas are a stark reminder of how fragile life and community can be. My family and I are safe, and for that, I am endlessly grateful. However, my heart breaks for those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones to this ongoing tragedy. The fire continues to burn, and many of us remain on high alert, not knowing what the next few days will bring. The sense of uncertainty is heavy, but the resilience of our community gives me hope. If you’re wondering how to help, here are a few ways to make a difference: 1. Donate to Relief Organizations: Groups like the Red Cross, California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund, and Direct Relief are actively supporting evacuees and first responders. 2. The devastation in CA is beyond comprehension. Most of us cannot imagine having to evacuate from such a disaster. We DO know the feeling of wanting to help and not knowing where to start.
