Back in 2013 , Daft Punk's "Lose yourself to dance" was released, under one of the most iconic recordings of our days. A year later, I vividly remember the day "Tropical Chancer" by La Roux was out. Before I had even touched a music production DAW, I felt this deep urge to blend those funky guitars under a shared disco beat. A simple DJ mix wasn’t enough : I wanted the groove itself to evolve. ?? During the past few weeks, it hit me! There must be a more reciprocal way of interacting with music, one where all creative forces involved are immediately rewarded. Not just financially, but also through that primitive, almost childlike pleasure and excitement that comes from creating for the sake of creation itself. Of course, this isn’t about jeopardizing professional stem remixing or sampling - those are not going anywhere any time soon. Basically, it’s all about the idea that got me hooked : Reshaping the future of UGC by democratizing personalized music experiences. Just like how Instagram’s early filters empowered millions to feel like amateur photographers. All supported by licensed works! Hook did just that. Simply put, Gaurav Sharma with his young powerhouse of industry-doers (most of them musicians as well), have just raised the bar for the fair use of AI in music tech and made sure it actually pays fairly.
