We're excited to share our recent work! While 129Xe VDP is an important measure of lung function, it doesn't capture the spatial distribution of ventilation defects. In our study, we utilized the Defect Distribution Index (DDI) to quantify the spatial distribution of defects in 421 subjects, spanning both healthy and disease groups. DDI complements traditional lung function metrics and may offer deeper insights into the severity and progression of lung disease when used alongside these parameters.
