After two great years at Hearst, I've been laid off and am looking for my next opportunity.
If you have ever worked with me I'd love to hear from you. Please share a piece of advice for the job search, an introduction, an inbox message, or even a note below on what you think are my superpowers for my next role.
Things I've been doing recently at Hearst for Puzzmo:
? Business operations: helping to stand up the startup of Puzzmo inside of HNP, creating financial and accounting procedures, establishing and tracking business KPIs, and liaising between Puzzmo and HNP teams such as finance, marketing, SEO, ad ops, and programmatic, to leverage resources for Puzzmo's success
?? Product growth: optimizing subscription and checkout flow, running experiments to improve engagement, increasing customer lifetime value, tracking growth analytics.
?? Product marketing and communications: leading end to end development of marketing campaigns, customer email journeys, retention flows, and all social content.
?? Partnership support: acting as the key support person for new partners for Puzzmo, working with brands such as The Weather Channel, theSkimm, Vox (Polygon), Postmedia, and Hearst's network of publications to distribute Puzzmo, create custom content, games, and more.
Who am I as a hire:
? I'm passionate about helping individuals reach their own success, and as such thrive in leading teams, and supporting other leaders. I have a vision, but I'm likely to be just as excited to help you shape and make yours come to life.
?? I've worked on a lot of early stage ventures, from small businesses to startups. I understand what it takes to get something off the ground and help it scale in its early years. I'll probably be your best first hire.
?? An expert generalist, I love working across teams and can speak the languages of many — from creative, to finance, product, engineering, marketing and beyond. Ideally, I'm in a role that helps link these teams for business outcomes such as operations, project, or product leadership.
?? I'm a doer. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and am not rigid about what I work on. I do what needs to be done and what's best for the business, and team, to work and grow. I'm most satisfied when the pieces come together. I see the micro and macro at the same time.
