Hello All Many of you may know that my daughter Kelsea founded a charity called Ability Through Action with her partner Patrick. The below write up from Kelsea and Ability Through Action moved me, as does all of the fine work they have done to date...including getting over 1,000 pieces of equipment to Ukraine and two visit there by Kelsea and Patrick to meet aid workers on the ground, help distribute equipment and supplies and visit and interview the people they are supporting. There is a link below and if you are able and willing to donate anything at all to this cause it would be appreciated. If not, do not feel obligated, they know you support what they are doing. October 1st is recognized as Defenders Day in Ukraine, a day to honor veterans and fallen members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. September was also Ukrainian Heritage Month, a time where Align reflected on how we can continue supporting Ukraine. Previously, we partnered with Ability Through Action (ATA), a small nonprofit dedicated to donating wheelchairs to Ukraine. ATA's two co-founders have worked in Ukraine, building strong connections to ensure an on-the-ground presence for effective distribution. In collaboration with Goodwill, Align, and several long-term care homes, we successfully sent over 1,000 mobility devices to Ukraine. During ATA's most recent visit to Ukraine, they established a partnership with a rehabilitation facility in Lviv, focused on supporting veterans. Moving forward, we are committed to helping ATA collect monetary donations, allowing them to focus on sending active wheelchairs—essential mobility solutions that are desperately needed by veterans.
