My brilliant colleague Shameema Parveen has put together a first of its kind Summit, focusing on Achieving CALD Leadership in the Public Sector. The Australian Public Service has set a #CALDtarget for 24% leadership representation by 2030. This is a critical forum to be a part of discussing actionable strategies to elevate CALD leadership, building an inclusive public sector and the role of leaders and allies in creating inclusive public sector workplace cultures. Join the conversation in Canberra & Online on the 19th & 20th of March 2025, and find out more about this Summit here: https://lnkd.in/esK8Hptt

The Australian Public Service has wonderfully set a #CALDtarget for #leadership representation - 11% currently in leadership with a target of 24% by 2030. We have been waiting a long time for organisations to set and publicly announce a CALD target and even though we have been working with private and public sectors for over 12 years in the #race and #ethnicity space, we rarely find the maturity is there to set a target. I am always concerned that when a target is set, there needs to be workforce plan to get there, so that there isn't only a 'buy' or 'borrow' talent response the closer you get to the target date. So my critical question is what is the strategy, what is the talent pipelining and succession planning, development activity to activate the internal market? CALD composition is often quite healthy in workplaces yet underutilised, #underemployed. More here, announcement was earlier in the year: https://lnkd.in/g3x6B2KU Come and join the conversation on #CALDtargets at The Hatchery (Hub) conference in Canberra 19th and 20th of March 2025, early bird tickets available until the 13th of Dec. MindTribes Pty Ltd has supported the curation of speakers and topics alongside the fabulous Shameema Parveen. This is our way of steering and guiding #ethicaldecisionmaking and planning. A spotlight on speakers, I am excited to hear from [although all are magic contributors]: Giri Sivaraman ???? ???????? Our first LEAD for Woman OC’s in person event 2024 in the books! What an inspiring and uplifting panel Alex, Hassan and Nila. Thank you to this amazing group for putting it together and allowing me to support. A few highlights I took away: -Be authentic to who you are today- that can be different through your carrear. -Always set a personal and professional goal- check progress, use balance model- are you in line. -It’s ok to say No if you know you can give your all- but have an alternative solution or person. -Lead by example- and foster a good work life balance for your employee’s- sometimes work wins and sometimes life wins. BOFA is a great company that offers different ways to support, roles that fit each individual and the ability to excell.
Tonight LEAD for Women Orange County hosted a panel event on the topic Balancing Work & Life. I had the honor of moderating and would like to give a big thank you to our LEAD leadership team for creating this amazing event and our executive panelist, Nila Yousufi, Hassan Abedi and DR. ALEXANDRIA BRAVO for sharing their insights and wisdom! We walked away with so many new tips and ways to continue to honor each phase of our lives. We cannot wait for the next event!
